Universe Without Singularities A Group Approach to De Sitter Cosmology
نویسنده
چکیده
In the last years the traditional scenario of “Big Bang” has been deeply modified by the study of the quantum features of the Universe evolution, proposing again the problem of using “local” physical laws on cosmic scale, with particular regard to the cosmological constant role. The “group extention” method shows that the De Sitter group univocally generalizes the Poincarè group, formally justifies the cosmological constant use and suggests a new interpretation for Hartle-Hawking boundary conditions in Quantum Cosmology. c © Electronic Journal of Theoretical Physics. Conformal Geometry and the Universe
The conformal approach to Euclidean geometry introduced by David Hestenes, uses null vectors in an enlarged space to represent points. Here we show how these same techniques can be extended to the curved spacetimes relevant in cosmology. An extended example is given of the transfer of a result from 2d non-Euclidean geometry to 4d de Sitter space (the Origin Lemma in the Poincaré disc), and impl...
متن کاملCosmology and Fermion Confinement in a Scalar-Field-Generated Domain Wall Brane in Five Dimensions
We consider a brane generated by a scalar field domain wall configuration in 4+1 dimensions, interpolating, in most cases, between two vacua of the field. We study the cosmology of such a system in the cases where the effective four-dimensional brane metric is de Sitter or anti de Sitter, including a discussion of the bulk coordinate singularities present in the de-Sitter case. We demonstrate t...
متن کاملChaplygin Gas Cosmology Predicts Only 'dusty' Universe
We consider a new approach for Chaplygin gas cosmology, in which the relativistic formulation of Chaplygin matter is of crucial importance. Specifically, the dynamical content of this matter induces a generalizd energy conservation principle. Our results show that (for all times) the universe consists of a novel form of matter with dust like density (∼ (volume) −1) and negative pressure, that i...
متن کاملConstraining a Double Component Dark Energy Model Using Supernova Type Ia Data
A two-component fluid representing dark energy is studied. One of the components has a polytropic form, while the other has a barotropic form. Exact solutions are obtained and the cosmological parameters are constrained using supernova type Ia data. In general, an open universe is predicted. A big rip scenario is largely preferred, but the dispersion in the parameter space is very high. Hence, ...
متن کاملNew Approach to Chaplygin Gas Cosmology
We consider a new approach for Chaplygin cosmology, in which the relativistic formulation of Chaplygin matter is of crucial importance. Our results show that (for all times) the universe consists of a novel form of matter with dust like density (∼ (volume) −1) and negative pressure. This is in contrast to the usual Chaplygin cosmology, based on non-relativistic equation of state, that implies a...
